| Food Habits for Healthy Eyes |

Vitamins, minerals and proteins are extremely important for good eyes and good vision. Most important among these is Vitamin-A, whose deficiency in children leads to dryness of the eyes, ulceration of the cornea, and in extreme cases to night blindness. Hence, foods that contain vitamin-A, when taken in adequate quantity and on a daily basis, can prevent this deficiency.
Common sources of vitamin-A are Cod-liver oil, Halibut-liver oil, milk, eggs, butter and cheese. It is also found in carrot, mango, papaya, cabbage, spinach, methi, etc.
